The BREEAM standard is designed to help building managers, investors, owners and users reduce operating costs and improve the environmental performance of an existing building. This voluntary standard and certification system provides a clear and reliable methodology for improving the sustainability performance of an existing building.

The following categories are considered in the assessment of the building:

– Energy
– Health and Wellbeing
– Transport

– Waste
– Land Use and Ecology

Each assessed category consists of a certain number of credits, and the implementation of the requirements for these credits results in a final grade. Available BREEAM rating levels for building certification: UNCLASIFIED, PASS, GOOD, VERY GOOD, EXCELLENT, and OUTSTANDING.

During the BREEAM assessment process, our team:

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environment Design) is a US 1998 one of the top-class environmental assessment systems has been developed to assess the environmental performance of a building and to promote the sustainable development of the building’s life cycle. It is a point calculation system that evaluates environmentally friendly actions during the design, construction and operation of a building.

The LEED method aims to assess the sustainability of a building as a whole from the perspectives important for human health and the environment. LEED promotes a sustainable approach to building in the following key areas: sustainable plots, water efficiency, energy and atmosphere, materials and resources, quality of the indoor environment, innovation design, regional priority. LEED can be implemented for various types of projects – new buildings, renovation projects, projects already built and in operation, interior and tenant projects, residential and apartment buildings, schools, health care and other public buildings, neighborhoods and communities, even cities, etc.

In principle, projects are assessed in the following sustainability categories:

  • Indoor Environmental Quality

When all mandatory requirements are met, the scores from each category are summed and the result obtained determines the LEED assessment level, of which there are four: CERTIFIED, SILVER, GOLD, PLATINUM.

EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) – internationally recognized, third party verified declaration which shows environmental impact of a product. Declaring environmental impact gives a widespread acceptance for your products and shows your transparency and reliability as well as environmental sustainability and responsibility. The EPD declaration is formed by LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) calculations and provides a qualitative basis for product comparison. The environmental impact categories are separated into the following
life cycle stages:

• Core processes: manufacturing processes.
• Downstream processes including usage and end-of-life stages.
